ACT Entertainment continues to expand its reach in the AV technology sector with the acquisition of tvONE, a leading video processing, signal distribution and media playback solutions company headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio; among its brands is the Green Hippo line of media servers and digital display products, which tvONE acquired in 2018.
The acquisition marks the first foray into video equipment for ACT Entertainment, a leading manufacturer and distributor of products to the entertainment and lighting industry. The company had previously brought RapcoHorizon and its brands under the ACT banner.
“We are pleased to announce the acquisition of tvONE, which continues ACT’s mission of providing tools to help our customers realize their creative vision,” says Ben Saltzman, President and CEO of ACT Entertainment. “tvONE is known for its exciting, cutting-edge product lines, and we know our customers will be pleased to have access to them to provide more efficient end-to-end solutions for their projects. It has been great getting to know David (Reynaga) and Andy (Fliss), and I look forward to working alongside the fantastic teams they’ve built.”
With more than thirty-five years’ experience in the AV industry, tvONE has a proven track record for developing innovative solutions that deliver exceptional experiences; manufacturing high quality, ingenious products for video processing, signal management and racking; and delivering world-class customer service in a wide range of vertical markets. tvONE is a US-based company with R&D and manufacturing in the UK.
“We are delighted with our partnership with ACT, a well-respected and powerful company at the core of live production, our largest market,” says Andy Fliss, tvONE’s President. “The reach that ACT has established in live events will be a tremendous boom for our product lines. The width and depth of ACT in providing comprehensive solutions and system integration will further enable all of our customers in their work.”
tvONE’s existing management and structure will remain in place after the acquisition. “We already have a great rapport with Ben and look forward to working with him and everyone on the ACT team,” Fliss says.
ACT’s acquisition of the tvONE line of video products follows the company’s recent move into the audio sector with distribution of PK Sound’s robotic line array systems. PK Sound joins ACT’s comprehensive roster of brands exclusively distributed to customers in North America, including Ayrton and Robert Juliat lighting, MA Lighting, AC Power Distribution, MDG atmosphere generators, and zactrack automated follow systems.
